Well, I guess I AM feeling a bit nostalgic for the music business. People are posting about making 40 blanks to prepare for the upcoming season, after having been in Aspen or Moab or Bard. And we know those reeds will not work in NYC! The weather…the altitude…oy…that stuff I don’t miss.
BUT …. this is an INTERIOR DESIGN BLOG – steady on girl…..
One gallon of paint will cover 400 square feet of wall.
Mount curtains as high as possible to give the room more height.
Curtains should be at least 2 times the width of the window.
A kitchen island should be about 38″ tall – a little higher than the counter tops – to be comfortable for prep.
The bottom of a chandelier should hang 36″ above the table.
Install light switches 36″ – 40″ above the floor.
The perfect proportion has always been the “Golden Ratio”:
1 to 1.62….just ask Leonardo da Vinci.
Oh, That’s me at 15 years old.
